The 2015 Caribou Rotary Club Cash Draw is underway, and tickets are selling quickly.

Two weeks into the sale of tickets and over 160 tickets have already been sold. “We’re off to a great start,” said Austin Bleess, the Caribou Rotary Club President-Elect and chair of the Cash Draw this year. Bleess noted that is a bit faster start than in recent years.

This Draw is the primary fundraiser for the Caribou Rotary Club and has allowed the club to complete numerous community projects.  Some of the projects the club has helped to sponsor include the Ski Building at the High School, dugouts at the ballfield on Sincock Street, and the recently installed playground equipment at Hilltop Elementary School. This year’s fundraiser will allow the Rotary Club to continue its long tradition of Service Above Self.

In addition, donations enable the Rotary Club to continue supporting programs of the Caribou Recreation Department, the Caribou School System, Caribou Little League, and to annually provide bicycle helmets to all third graders in Caribou and four surrounding communities.  Bleess added, “If you live in Caribou or the central Aroostook region, chances are very good that you or someone you know has benefited from a Rotary project or donation.”

No more than 1,000 tickets will be sold, so chances of winning are 1 in 20.  Tickets may be purchased for $60.00 each or two or more are $50 each.  The purchase price also includes admission for one to the drawing and dance, which will be held at the Caribou Inn & Convention Center on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at 6:30 p.m.

This years prizes are $6,000 1st Prize, $5,000 2nd Prize, $4,000 3rd Prize, One $1,000.00 Cash Prize, One $500.00 Cash Prize, Five $250.00 Cash Prizes, and Forty $100.00 Cash Prizes. There is a $500 Early Bird Drawing for tickets that are paid for by November 14, 2015.
